Strathclyde Bicycle Users Group (StrathBUG) is now online at http://www.strathbug.org.uk/
Register on the site for information, help and encouragement with all aspects of cycle-based active transport to and from University.
There are articles on the site to help people to start to commute by bicycle, as well as a forum where users can ask questions,
and raise issues e.g. about existing facilities, or those they think are needed. You can also share you route with others, and perhaps help someone
new to cycle commuting, or simply find someone to share your commute with.
Opportunity to Join the futureSME VIP in Semester 2.
We are looking for 2nd and 3rd year students to get involved in the futureSME Vertically Integrated Project. This VIP builds upon existing research on Small and Medium-sized Enterprise competitiveness to engage with SMEs, deliver business diagnostics and develop the ‘toolkit’. The project is hosted in DMEM and we are particularly interested in students from other faculties to broaden the discipline base e.g. Marketing, Management, Management Science, other engineering disciplines.
You would take the course as a 10 credit elective course in second semester and should expect to continue on the project into later years. The VIP concept is described further here.
